This weekend I have been busy busy busy making cakepops….2 baby showers, a bachelorette party and trying to get some St. Pattys day pops up for display~
I had the pleasure of making these hot pink and orange baby shower cakepops for a cousin of mine who is hosting a cocktail evening babyshower. I know…..I LOVE this idea~ She provided me with her colours and some ideas as to what she was after and …Voila!
I also had a blast making 12 female and male appendages for a bachelorette party tonight. What a hoot!! I made the chocolate ones “dark” skinned and the vanilla ones “light” skinned. I pierced, tattooed, tassled and made bras for them. I have decided to not post the pictures here in case of “little” eyes around. On Tuesday I was asked to make some cakepops for The Festival of Chocolate fundraiser for the Ottawa Distress Centre tonight at Lago Restaurant on Dows Lake. It was a little last minute, but they were stuck, and its for a good cause, so I could hardly say no. I made 4 dozen cakepops 2dozen vanilla, and 2 dozen chocolate, Valentines Day themed cakepops. Its too bad, it was last minute as I would have loved to make little displays for the pops, and offered a few more varieties. However, the organizer of the event said she would be able to make little displays throughout the restaurant to showcase my work. What a fabulous opportunity as there will be over 200 people in attendance.
I was told that the organizer was sad she didnt find me sooner, but is hoping I will join them again next year. Which I definately plan to.
I hope their event goes off without a hitch, and is a HUGE success. Attached is the blogspot for the event, and a picture I took of the order I made. Sweet Thingz is not mentioned in the blogspot yet as I was very last minute.

I’m hoping everyone had a wonderful holiday season, and a fantastic start to 2012!!
Thank you for to everyone who has continued to drop in on my blog. I havent been frequenting my blog lately, as I havent really made any cakepops. I was extremely busy over Christmas with my cakepops, but have been able to have the past few weeks off. Which was a nice break for me.
But now I’m back at it, in full force. I’m working on a bunch of different orders presently. Superheros, Winnipeg Jets, a fishing theme, and of course….Valentines day~!
I hope to have some pictures posted this evening….
